“A dress must be enjoyed.” That is the belief Roop’s Couture was built on, and it guides every bride we dress.

Our Story

Roop’s Couture was founded by Jasroop Kaur around 20 years ago. Fashion has been part of her life since childhood: while still at school, Jasroop worked as an assistant designer alongside her mother, learning first-hand how Indian couture is designed, cut and finished.

After qualifying in fashion design, Jasroop moved to the UK in 2002. She started Roop’s Couture with a single suitcase of outfits, and the business grew organically, one bride and one recommendation at a time. Today Roop’s Couture is a multi-brand luxury boutique based in Stapleford Abbotts, Essex, serving brides and their families across the UK.

Our Philosophy: Stylish and Comfortable

Jasroop’s knowledge of Indian bridal couture is second to none, but for her it has always been about more than the outfit. A bride should look extraordinary and feel comfortable enough to enjoy every moment of her day, from the Anand Karaj or pheras to the last dance at the reception. We help each bride choose the silhouette, colour, weight and fit that suit her, her ceremony and her style.

Bespoke and Made-to-Measure
